I decided not to go with the normal EU, and decided to write history myself.
9 years after the Battle of Endor, the Imperial Remnant remains strong.
Luke Skywalker has built his own Jedi Temple back on Coruscant. The new Jedi Order is very strong.
However, not everyone is destined to be a Jedi. Khyron Jinn, son of the clone of Qui-Gon, was found by the Jedi after he left the Empire and trained as a Jedi Knight. After revisiting stormtroopers he once called friends, he left the Jedi, fearing his own anger would destroy him from within.
He went back to being a Bounty Hunter, helping the Jedi in any way he could, when something happened....(no, I'm not telling nyah nyah!)
In a state of pure rage, he researched the ways of the Sith and went to work resurrecting the ways of the Dark Side. He tore up the documents of the old sith code and wrote it to be his own. He Dubbed himself Darth Intemperance.
He changed the rules. He toured the Galaxy and took three apprentices: Connor, a Jawa from Tatooine where his abilities made him feared, Phred, an imperial defector, and a Noghri with no name. He trained them with his new Sith powers and dubbed them Darth Laborius, the worker, Darth Sorrosius, the Bringer of Sorrow, and Darth Sorcerous, master of the Dark Powers.
Together they reformed the Sith Order, an organization created solely to destroy the remnant of the Empire and to bring Balance to the unbalanced Force.
Khyron Jinn, now a cyborg(hehe spoiler), attended a senate meeting and publically requested an official alliance between the Sith and the Jedi, revealing himself, his Order, and all of his students.
As a result, the Jedi frequently attacked the Sith Order building, close to the core of Coruscant...
Those were the events preceeding Balance of the Force, not the movie itself. This movie will contain LEGAL music from all 6 movies.

Kitana (Jedi student who ventures into the realm of the Sith)
And a bunch of nameless Jedi and Sith students.
The Original sucked but the new one is shaping up to be great.
